The BBC Radio 4 show The Skewer is a long-running topical radio programme presenting as a “satirical river of sound”.
On the strength of my previous production work on The Bitter Sound, in 2019 I was invited by show producer Jon Holmes to be a part of the start-up and production team that devised and created the multiple award-winning show.
Each episode is a 15-30 minute sound collage which combines topical soundbites with excerpts from popular culture, historical quotations and songs, often in unsettling or surreal ways.
